You Stayed
A downloadable game for Windows
**Note that this is an unfinished product, contains several bugs and lacks the majority of content promised for the full game. I do not know the what the future holds for this prototype so don't expect any updates on it in the near future, although I MAY revisit it someday. For now treat this game as a Proof of Concept**
You Stayed
A psychological horror prototype about grief, guilt, and the things we refuse to see.
You're sitting at a terminal, working through a case file. A person disappeared inside their own home while someone else was there. There's no forced entry, no sign of a struggle, and a timeline that doesn't quite add up. Your job is to investigate.
Around the terminal there's a dark room. It looks like set dressing. Keep an eye on it anyway.
What this is
A prototype, not a finished game. I've stopped developing it, and I'm sharing it as it stands. [One sentence on what the build covers: which parts of the game, and roughly how many minutes.]
It's a quiet game. There's no monster. The horror is in what the terminal won't let you do, and in how familiar the investigator's habits start to feel.
How to play
Type commands at the terminal prompt. The vocabulary is small on purpose:
- inspect room
- check entry points
- review timeline
- advance timeline
- cross-reference
- wait
Look around with the mouse. Take your time and read the logs closely. Headphones recommended.
